Because if it already existed, I wouldn’t need to build it from scratch
We don’t design from a textbook — we design from instinct, resourcefulness, and relentless curiosity.
Without formal training (or endless budgets), we’ve had to figure things out as we go — and that’s where the magic happens. We prototype like a set designer, test wild ideas, and build things that probably shouldn’t work — until they absolutely do.
MDF becomes treillage. Glossy pleather becomes wall treatment. Mistakes become signatures.
This isn’t about novelty — it’s about necessity, and the innovation that comes with it.
Originality isn’t always elegant at first. But it’s always worth it.
We design with a sense of humour — and a healthy disrespect for what interiors are “supposed” to look like.
That might mean anthropomorphic furniture, a hallway that feels like a stage set, or deliberately “ugly” little details that make you grin. Play is part of the process, but it shows up in the work too — through joyful surprises, theatrical moments, and a refusal to take things too seriously.
